Rhetoric Minds built Prottoy Mesh — an AI-powered connected care platform that creates a mesh network of healthcare touchpoints across underserved communities, enabling patients to access specialist consultations without travelling to urban centers.
The platform connects rural community health workers to urban specialists through an AI triage layer that categorises patient cases, prioritises urgency, and routes consultations to the appropriate specialist in real time. This removes the single greatest barrier to rural healthcare in Bangladesh: the distance between patients and qualified doctors.
The AI layer also pre-processes patient data — vital signs, symptom history, uploaded photographs of physical findings — and generates a structured clinical brief presented to the specialist before the consultation begins. This increases consultation efficiency and reduces the cognitive load on both health workers and specialists.

Problem Statement
Over 70% of Bangladesh’s population lives in rural areas with severely limited access to specialist healthcare. A patient seeking a specialist consultation from a rural Upazila must travel 3–6 hours to Dhaka, Chittagong, or Sylhet — a journey that is financially prohibitive and physically impossible for the seriously ill. Telehealth solutions exist, but without an intelligent triage layer, they create new bottlenecks at specialist level.
